Hello hello hello and welcome to the weekend!!
I hope you have had a great week and that the weekend brings nothing but smiles and sunshine for you! I do believe that the weather is to be a bit if-y this weekend, with thunderstorms and clouds, but you know, it’s Colorado and that could all quickly change! No huge plans this weekend, rather I will be tackling some projects! I am launching my Blissful Pursuit (health coaching) website within the next week, getting things ready for my Blissful Pursuit Summer ShapeUP program, a 5-week bootcamp style workout launching in June, and….oh geez, I do have some Integrative Nutrition homework among other things to tend to. All things that can completely overwhelm me in a totally exciting, fist pumping way!!
Before I get started on this Week’s Weekend Winks, I must say that I was having an overwhelming moment yesterday where I felt I was being pulled in a million different ways. I think we all experience times like this and really, I just needed to take a step away from my desk and take a deep breath. In the midst of handling my feelings and continuing on with my to-do’s (I think I was tackling 60 unread inbox messages), Travis told me a story of a young women who had a terrible accident while zip lining. You can read the full article here, however, a snapshot of the story is that she fell in the water and cut her leg where a flesh-eating bacteria invaded, eventually causing her to lose part of her leg, abdomen, hands and also experience a devastating hospital stay. My heart immediately sunk upon hearing this story and I atoned for my petty response to life’s little obstacles. May we all take a moment to send a prayer, a warm thought and lots of love to this woman and her family and remember that life is precious and not to sweat the small stuff!
Not that it is easy to move forward after learning of such a tragic story, but I do have some great winks to share…
I learned of an incredible new blog called A Life of Perfect Days…a-m-a-z-i-n-g and so inspiring! It is really a must read blog! I especially enjoyed Be An Inutitive Warrior: Follow Your Heart and Embrace the Unknown!
Next up, the ultimate Spirit Junkie, Gabrielle Bernstein has a show on Hay House radio today that I am looking forward to. There are a ton of super well-known hosts listed on this radio show, so be sure to check it out for other inspiring shows too!
I have mentioned that I have been doing yoga at least a couple times a week and I was super happy to read Oh She Glows’ post, All Natural Yoga Mat Cleaner! Even if you’re not into yoga or you don’t have a stinky mat, I think there’s likely something you could use this formula for cleaning!
I will leave you with a super fun look at Healthy Cooking Camp, a blog created by two awesome Integrative Nutrition students, Quinn and Robyn, who share the same passion for cooking healthy meals and teaching cooking classes. These ladies have some fantastic, short, how-to videos that will allow you to revamp your style…and, if nothing else, the girls share their humor and are so fun to watch! P.S. I got to meet them at the Long Beach Mega Conference (in March) and I felt honored!
Hope you have a great weekend…lots of love! xo
